Jesus, Forgive My Sin — A Morning Prayer for a Pure Heart and a New Beginning

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” — Psalm 51:10 (KJV)

Every morning is a new gift from God — a fresh page where yesterday’s mistakes do not have to define today’s life. Many of us wake up carrying guilt, regret, or memories of things we wish we had done differently. But the beautiful truth of faith is this: Jesus never turns away a heart that sincerely seeks forgiveness.

When we whisper, “Jesus, forgive my sin,” we are not just asking for mercy — we are opening the door for transformation. Sin often leaves marks on our hearts — anger, pride, jealousy, harsh words, or moments when we chose wrong even though we knew better. These moments can make us feel unworthy or distant from God. Yet, Jesus’ love is stronger than our failures.

Jesus did not come to condemn us but to restore us. His forgiveness is not limited or reluctant. It flows freely to those who come with humility. When we admit our mistakes honestly and surrender our hearts to Him, something powerful happens — our soul begins to feel lighter, cleaner, and more peaceful.

Becoming a pure soul does not mean becoming perfect overnight. Purity is a daily journey — choosing kindness over anger, truth over lies, patience over frustration, and love over selfishness. It means allowing God to gently reshape our thoughts, words, and actions each day.

Sometimes, the hardest part is forgiving ourselves. We may feel ashamed of past mistakes or fear that we are beyond repair. But Jesus sees us differently. He sees the person we are becoming, not just the person we once were. His grace washes away guilt and replaces it with hope.

This morning, take a moment to pause. Close your eyes. Breathe deeply. Speak honestly to Jesus — not with perfect words, but with a sincere heart. Ask Him to remove the heaviness of sin and fill your soul with purity, peace, and strength.

Remember, a pure soul is not a sinless soul — it is a forgiven soul that keeps turning back to God.
And every time you return to Him, He welcomes you with open arms.

Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus,

This morning, I come before You with humility in my heart.
Forgive my sins, Lord — the ones I remember and the ones I have forgotten. Wash away every stain in my soul and make me clean in Your presence.

Create in me a pure heart, Jesus. Remove pride, anger, selfishness, and all that separates me from You. Fill my heart with love, kindness, patience, and truth. Help me walk in Your ways and choose what is right each day.

When I feel weak, give me strength.
When I feel guilty, remind me of Your mercy.
When I fall, help me rise again with faith.

Lord, I surrender my past to You and place my future in Your hands. Make my soul pure, my mind peaceful, and my life pleasing to You.

In Your holy name, Jesus, I pray. Amen.
