\u201cLet us make a small room on the roof and put in it a bed and a table, a chair and a lamp for him. Then he can stay there whenever he comes to us.\u201d<\/em>
\u2014 2 Kings 4:10 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Some miracles in the Bible were not born out of desperation or prayer requests \u2014 they were born out of kindness.<\/p>\n

One such rare and powerful story is found in 2 Kings chapter 4<\/strong>, the story of the Shunammite woman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

She was not poor.
She was not sick.
She was not asking God for anything.<\/p>\n

Yet, her life became the stage for one of the most touching miracles in Scripture.<\/p>\n

The Shunammite woman noticed that the prophet Elisha frequently passed by her village. Instead of ignoring him or offering temporary help, she chose something deeper \u2014 consistent hospitality<\/strong>. She prepared food for him whenever he visited.<\/p>\n

Later, she went one step further. She told her husband, \u201cLet us build a small room for the man of God.\u201d<\/p>\n

No reward was promised.
No blessing was requested.
No prophecy was expected.<\/p>\n

She simply made room for God\u2019s presence.<\/p>\n

Because of her generosity, Elisha desired to bless her. When asked what she wanted, she replied humbly, \u201cI live among my own people.\u201d She wasn\u2019t seeking promotion, fame, or recognition.<\/p>\n

But God saw something unspoken \u2014 she had no child.<\/p>\n

Through Elisha\u2019s blessing, she conceived and gave birth to a son.<\/p>\n

Years later, tragedy struck. The child suddenly collapsed and died in her arms.<\/p>\n

Here is where her faith shines brightest.<\/p>\n

She did not scream.
She did not complain.
She did not announce the death.<\/p>\n

Instead, she laid her son on the prophet\u2019s bed \u2014 the same room she had built in faith \u2014 and went straight to the man of God.<\/p>\n

When asked if everything was well, her powerful reply was:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is well.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Even while holding unbearable pain, she chose trust over fear.<\/p>\n

God honored that faith.<\/p>\n

Elisha prayed, stretched himself upon the child, and life returned. The boy opened his eyes.<\/p>\n

The room built for rest became a room of resurrection.<\/p>\n

This story reminds us that:<\/p>\n
